has anybody build in a retractable bow thruster (f.e. maxpower compact retract) in a D40P.
if so, was there anything special to take in account?

Re: Top Shroud D 40 performance
on my D40P the top shrouds are in the back position. that's because the spreaders are looking backwards.

Re: Air in fresh water lines
i don't know what type of boat you have.
but if you have 2 watertanks and for both tanks the water supply-valve is open, you will have this problem.
allways take care that one of the watersupply walves is closed.

liferaft locker D40P
it is already a long time since we discussed the acces to the life raft locker. I changed the pins for 'violin-pins'. i tried it this weekend. by removing the violin-pin it's easy to remove the teak floor. then by pushing back the locker-cover it's easy to pick-out the life raft (6 persons plastimo)...

I also use double sheeting. 1. The sheet, that gomes from the back and outside the scepter to the spi 2. The guy which goes ...

http://boefamily.dk/dufour385/userpix/109_IMG_0035_1.jpg I uploaded a picture how I did it. It's the same configuration they use on the 40PP. We used longer bolts. From the inside it easy to acces by opening the small plates in the sealing of the main cabin at the front side under the deckorganisers...

If you look in the Dufour owner manual, so find under the chapter 'Running Rigging" in the drawing exactly how to do this. 11 is your 'sheet', that's the free sheet from the spinnaker to the back 22 is the 'guy', in the middle of deck you find a flattening mounting point through which you bring the ...
