Hi there, I have overseen the installation of a 4kw genset installed in the forward sail locker on a 3 cabin Dufour 455. The installation was achieved by placing the genset on the portside of the sail locker and a box fabricated arounds the genset so that it could be used for a step and to protect t...

Hi there, I know several Dufour 385 owners and owners of 365 and other models in the grand large range. Most have reported in the past at some stage condensation to varying degrees. The solid deck construction with limited through ventilation is the cause. Solution is when on board have good through...

Re: 40e

Can anyone give me details of the backing plates for the keel bolts of the 40e? I have a client looking at the 40e but we do nota have one here and he has also asked me about the shape of the lead/iron keel as opposed to the standard and if the improved performance is worth the extra money. I would...

The cool boxes and associated cooling system are made by Isotherm and in the past parts have been sources through Dufour Yachts. You will need to go through your local dealer in this regard. Alternatively, if you have a Isotherm distributor in your area, parts can be sources through them.

Water Filter

You are all correct. The smaller and therefore cheaper models in the Dufour range are built to a price and even though in my opinion and clearly others a filter is essential, it was deemed something that could be saved on. My suggestion is that if you do not have a water filter fitted during your ne...

This matter relates to a problem first identified in UK where the steering cables on the Dufour 405 create slack when hard over on its stops and can come of the quadrant. To stop this after working with Lewmar and Dufour a solution was found using small L-shaped clips secured at the aft face of the ...

Any application on the small paddle wheel is likely to affect the wheel's performance and the plastic they are made from cannot be antifouled as this can degrade th...
