Using a Mantus or Rocna anchor with 412 bowsprit

I'm wondering if anyone has either a Mantus or Rocna anchor on one of the Dufours that come with the extended fiberglass bowsprits. It looks like it should still work, but trying to know that before I buy and install on my 412GL.

I have a Rocna Vulcan on on my GL325 and the snugged up anchor does foul the bowsprit when extended, by about 30 mm. Will be trying to adjust it by dropping the roller a touch and shimming the bowsprit guide once the boat cover comes off in a week or two. Given that the configuration on your boat is similar, I would expect you to have the same problem.

Another option is to slack off the anchor a touch when deploying the bowsprit and then tighten to stop it flopping around. Needs some protection on the sprit but it does work. Helps to have the windlass control at the helm.

Actually I was able to clear the anchor by inserting a 20 mm teak pad below the sprit guide to lift the bowsprit. Needed longer bolts but was a very easy and cheap fix
