Interior plywood

Post by angus spence » Fri Sep 22, 2017 11:02 pm

I have added extra electronics to my chart table electrical panel over the years. I would like to tidy this up by starting with a new plywood panel and spacing the units bin a better way. To do this I would like to find the same Moabi Mahogany faced plywood. I wonder has anyone managed to find the same plywood used by Dufour. My boat is a D34 2005.

I haven't found the plywood, but I did make a new panel using marine plywood and veneer. I couldn't find Moabi veneer near me, but got a pretty good match with a mahogany veneer and the right stain.

Tim,
Many thanks for that, I guess that is a good option if I can find a similar veneer.
Best regards

Moabi is also sold as African Pearwood. It seems to be more readily available in Europe and the east coast of the US.

Cheers,
Tim
