|

The Bow Thruster problem continues.... Initially when the boat was delivered all was well with very significant thrust available, now the BT deploys correctly but the thrust is feeble. Max Thrust claim to have checked the system out and found a loose connection in the charge circuit not allowing the BT battery to deliver full current.... Sounds feasible but has not solved the problem.
Anyone suffering from the same problem??

Finally Max Thrust have come back with an idea. It seems that the contactors (under the fwd berth) can pick up carbon deposits causing erratic performance and even causing the thruster not to operate in one or the other direction. I will take out the contactors and clean them up.... Will let you know if this is the answer!!

The problem was finally traced to a poor crimp connection on one of the command lines to the contactor box. Check all the connections first if you have any strange happenings with the BT!
