2004 D34 Standing Rigging Type?

Post by TimOnders » Mon Jul 31, 2017 4:20 am

We are going to be replacing the standing rigging on our 2004 (2003 build) D34 soon. The current rig is original and now has over 32,000 NM on it.

While I'm sure I can figure it out with the rigger next time I'm over at the boat, does anyone know if Dufour used Dyform or regular 1x19 wire for the rig?

The wire feels flatter than normal to me, but I can't tell for sure. Dyform is about twice the working load for the same size, but about three times the price. I really don't want to negatively impact the sailing characteristics of the boat though (she sails so well :)).

Hello, on mine, Dufour 34th of 2011, I have dyform. We recognize the dyform if the wire is flat.
We talk a bit about this topic about the facebook group dedicated to Dufour 34 performance. Do you want to join us?
